Finally saw this last week. It’s funny how often you can walk by something in your own neighbourhood without realising it’s there. I’m also glad the richest guy in Vancouver (or is that Pattison?) has good taste in art. And is totes fabulously gay.
Real estate mogul Bob Rennie commissioned artist Martin Creed to install his artwork as part of a restoration project. The Wing Sang building is the oldest building in Chinatown. The phrase “Everything is going to be alright” is a reference to the upcoming 2010 Olympic games and a hopeful message to the Downtown Eastside in general.

More of my AWESOME photography from last night that Critical Christy just LOVES. I had a great time last night. I kind of regret jumping on stage while Greg was singing a highly homo-erotic by the Pet Shop Boys and dancing like an idiot. But hey, whatever, I’m super fun.
I forgot to mention yesterday that we were all dressing as Ladies in Red for the launch of two new karaoke videos for Lady in Red. The only time we’ve actually been glad the Beav had his camera handy, otherwise we’d only have drunk phone photos like this.

Finished a site overhaul for Ora Recycled Leather Bags on the weekend, now complete with a blog and online shop. Also did a complete revamp of the logo, lookbook & hangtags. Phew.
